Government College of Engineering Kalahandi, Bhawanipatna

Government College of Engineering, Kalahandi established in the year 2009 by an act of Govt. of Odisha and is functioning as a constituent college of BPUT, Odisha. The institute is located at the District Headquarter of Kalahandi , i.e. Bhawanipatna. The exact location is besides the NH 201 ( Bargarh-Boriguma ) , about 5 Km away from Bhawanipatna on the way to Junagarh.This college is emerging as to provide a suitable and hopeful platform for hidden talents those are willing succeeds in life through work for the service of mankind. College is having AICTE approval since 2013. Among four branches (CSE, ME, EE, CE),the department of Electrical Engineering is acredated with NBA in the year 2019.More than 90% faculties are registered with Ph D degrees. Some of them are having M. Tech degree from reputed IIT. This college has reputed name for attracting faculty having Post Doct. degree, UPSC(Engineering) qualified as their first choice for their excellencies. College is also glorified for DST project and TEQIP-III sponsored research project work for enhancement of scientic tempor and advancement of technologies. Placement record of students during B. Tech degree is increasing every year. After B. Tech degree almost all students are placed from CSE branch. Core students are also placed with central government and state goverment. In 2001 , three students are placed in Odisha Civil Services Examination. Some students have completed their Master from abroad.
